Arizona is home to the Grand Canyon, an UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the greatest natural wonders of the world. But Arizona also has a ton of other attractions worth visiting to make a hell of an amazing adventure! If you haven’t wanted to visit before, you sure will want to visit Arizona now.

Natural Beauty

For those of you who are interested in the great outdoors, Arizona is the ultimate destination for you. And for those of you not into the great outdoors, Arizona will change you. Trust me.

There’s Sedona’s red rock formations. Or Horseshoe Bend and Lower Antelope Canyon in Page. Or the Botanical Desert Garden in Phoenix. Whatever your outdoor needs, there is more than enough to do when looking to explore the natural beauty of Arizona.

I’m not the most outdoors-y person in the world. And while I love enjoying the view or taking a hike now and again, I don’t spend many hours outside (ex. you will never find me camping).

But Arizona changed me!

I find myself dreaming of Sedona to return to the mystical vortexes that contain energy from the Native American people before us. I long to feel the rush of adrenaline as I sit atop an unstable and sketchy rock formation overlooking the Grand Canyon. I’m absolutely craving to be back in Arizona.

Let’s Talk About the Food

The food situation is on another level. If you call yourself a guacamole connoisseur or fancy yourself a pulled pork specialist, you might just have your hands full with all of the tasty eateries throughout Arizona. There was more delicious Mexican and Southwestern inspired food here than I would have imagined!

Phoenix had plenty of amazing Southwestern food, especially in Old Town Scottsdale. But the beer! OMG THE BEER! There’s plenty of local breweries throughout Arizona to wet your hops whistle and some amazing beer flight specials to satisfy every tastebud out there (especially in Tempe)!

My favorite had to be the Hideaway House in Sedona (pictured above). Their happy hour deals for their local beer on tap was an absolute steal and their pancetta and peach pizza was AMMMMMAZING. As a pizza-phile, it easily could have been the best pizza I’ve ever had.

  1. I absolutely LOVE Arizona. I have not been up to Sedona yet, but am looking forward to going. I have family in Tucson, so I am there quite often. Saguaro National park is beautiful, and of course the Grand Canyon. I visited the Grand Canyon during winter once, and I would recommend that to anyone who is looking to just relax and drink in the beauty. It was covered with snow, and I was able to get a cabin right in the park for a reasonable price on the same day I arrived! Anyway, I can see why you love Arizona so much.

    1. I’ve always wanted to visit the Grand Canyon in the winter time! It must have been so lovely. And you will be so happy when you finally visit Sedona, it’s got such a peaceful energy that you won’t regret it!
