Well hey there, hi, hello! I’m Sebrin Elms, a 28 year old newlywed with a serious case of wanderlust and a passion to see the whole, wide world! I started The Clumsy Traveler in November of 2015 in anticipation of my honeymoon around the world. Since then, I decided to share my love of storytelling and travel with like-minded people looking for inspiration, vacation guides, tips & travel related entertainment.
At the age of 21, I decided to study abroad in Uppsala, Sweden where I moved to Scandinavia by myself without any knowledge of Sweden or international travel. Nothing prepared me for the life-changing experience of living abroad in Europe. Since then, I have become obsessed with traveling the globe and making sure to collect great travel tales along the way.
But what makes me The Clumsy Traveler? From being stranded in the murder capital of the world to that extra cocktail in a European discotheque to winding up in a hospital in Nice, France, it seems like most of my traveling career was in some way, shape or form an accident. I’m sure many of you have had a traveling accident or two, so take it from this graceless wanderer: the best way to prepare yourself for travel is to dive in, get your hands dirty and have fun!
